With a new school you have great facilities, but often you still need lots of stuff - like books, playground equipment, etc. We have a fabulous new school, and luckily some great volunteers to spearhead our fundraising efforts. My friend Tammy is in charge of box tops. The latest & greatest promotion was a competition to see which two classes could bring in the most box tops. Those two classes earned an "indoor snowball fight" in addition to the artic blast fun that the entire school earned.
Yes - Mrs. Schmalz's first grade class, of which we are members, pulled through and came in first place! So the indoor snowball fight was on. The kids loved it! They used yarn balls as their snowballs, and has athletic mats as shields. It was a huge hit! Thanks Tammy for the ideas and hard work, and the kids for making it happen.
